I, we, are in an institutional room with Jose de Garcia, and we hear, no, we feel him scream. We feel it because Harvey has once again transported us to a place we cannot otherwise visit. We are totally immersed in that foreign slice of life because only a very skilled storyteller could take us there, and that person is Harvey. We aren't a witness to what is going on, we are invisible bystanders. Our senses are filled with what is around us, in a way that only a true master of his craft can accomplish. And that person is also Harvey!
Loved the story! And of course I'm left wondering what happened, my favorite ( not!) part of short stories. Were the nurses dead? Or now they are the crazy ones? And, all of them? Or just one. If all, tomorrow is going to be a bad day. Short staff and 3 new admits! 🤣

Thanks so much, Tim.

Thanks, Carrie. Glad you liked it.
Not to mention the poor chupacabra.... It isn't easy to run with food in your mouth. (Evil laugh.)
Oh yeah, lol. Definitely a choking hazard!
This series of comments is what reminded me of the Stephen King quote I posted today. :-)
